Volvo returns to Oman with OMASCO

One of Oman’s frontrunning diversified companies, OMASCO, has announced the relaunch of the iconic Volvo Cars brand in Oman under its stewardship. The reintroduction of Volvo marks a momentous chapter in Oman’s automotive market, bringing back a distinctive, innovative and premium driving experience, through a series of mild-hybrid models that promise to deliver the epitome of luxury sustainable mobility to customers across Oman.

Customers will be able to experience first-hand the cutting-edge, luxury models at Volvo’s Pop-Up Display at Oman Avenues Mall. This activation will provide an immersive showcase of Volvo Cars’ commitment to providing customers with the Freedom to Move in a personal, sustainable, and safe way.

The Pop-Up at Oman Avenues Mall will feature the ever-popular XC90, XC60, XC40, and S90 models, allowing visitors to experience the unparalleled blend of Scandinavian design, cutting-edge technology, and Volvo’s signature top-tier safety features.

Operating seven days a week with OMASCO product experts on-ground, the Volvo Cars Pop-Up ensures that enthusiasts and potential buyers alike have ample time to explore and engage with the vehicles. To provide a seamless buying experience, test drives are being facilitated directly at the location, with up to three cars available at any given time with deliveries of purchased vehicles being organized either from the mall parking area or through OMASCO’s home delivery service, offering customers across Oman unparalleled convenience.

XC90

Comfortable seating up to seven people, the XC90, Volvo Cars most luxurious SUV with Google built-in, has been engineered to deliver smooth take-offs and refined acceleration, making both city and highway journeys more refined. The mild-hybrid SUV delivers up to 300HP engine power and a max torque 420Nm with a fuel economy of 13.6 kms per litre.

XC60

The XC60 is a midsize SUV featuring iconic design, dynamic performance and advanced technology including Google built-in and Best-in-class navigation. The vehicle comes with a 2.0L turbocharged engine delivering 249HP and 350Nm of torque with a fuel economy of 14.6 kms per litre.

XC40

The versatile compact SUV from Volvo XC40 designed for the city and beyond offers intuitive comfort and convenience features including Google built-in and App remote services. The XC40 delivers a max engine power of 197HP with 300Nm of torque and a fuel economy of 15.5 Kms per litre.

S90

The S90 is Volvo Cars offering in the premium sedan segment delivering refined performance and an agile, powerful driving experience. Equipped with a host of new technologies ranging from cutting edge safety to cloud-based apps and services with Google built in, the S90 produces 249HP engine power and 350Nm torque with a fuel economy of 15.9 Kms per litre.

In May, OMASCO is gearing up to introduce the much-anticipated EX30, Volvo’s latest electric vehicle, marking a significant step towards a sustainable automotive future, reflecting the brand’s ambition to become a fully electric car maker by 2030 and its commitment to an ongoing reduction of its carbon footprint, with the ambition to be a climate-neutral company by 2040. The company is also planning to open a dedicated showroom for the brand in June this year.
