Eid Al Fitr: Oman announces 5-day holiday, early salary

Both public and private sector employees will get a five-day weekend starting from Thursday, April 20.

As the month of Ramadan is set to come to an end, Oman officially announced Eid Al Fitr holidays for employees.

Government and private sector workers will have a five-day long weekend from Thursday, April 20 to Monday, April 24. All the employees will resume back to work on Tuesday, April 25.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Labour announced that all private companies in Oman must pay the salaries to their employees for the month of April no later than April 18, 2023.

A statement issued by MoL said, ‘Private sector establishments subject to the provisions of the Labour Law promulgated by Royal Decree No 35/2003, are urged to disburse salaries of their employees for the month of April no later than Tuesday, April 18, 2023.’
