Nicolas Sibuet, the company’s Chief Financial Officer since 2022, has been appointed as acting CEO.
Othman AlJeda, who spent over three decades with Aramex, cited personal reasons for his departure. His exit marks the end of an era for the company, which has undergone significant transformation under his leadership. AlJeda is widely credited for steering Aramex through an extensive financial and operational restructuring process, bringing in a high-performing management team and delivering improved financial results.
The leadership change follows the recent acquisition of Aramex by Q Logistics, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi’s ADQ group. The deal, which also involved a substantial stake from ADQ’s AD Ports Group, now places the majority of Aramex’s shares under Q Logistics’ control. Industry analysts suggest the acquisition positions Aramex as a UAE-based logistics powerhouse with global ambitions.
AlJeda also reflected on his journey with the firm, stating: “From my earliest days on the ground, to the many challenges and milestones we have faced together, I have grown alongside Aramex — not only as a professional, but as a person. I have full confidence in Aramex’s future.”
