Riyadh Air: Top airline expert appointed as Chief Operating Officer

Peter Bellew, a top airline expert will join Saudi Arabia’s newest national airline Riyadh Air as Chief Operating Officer.

“I am excited to join as Chief Operating Officer of the team at Riyadh Air – Saudia Arabia’s New National Carrier to Further Expand the Saudi Aviation Ecosystem Locally and Globally,” Bellew’s post on LinkedIn read.

Bellew also headed the operations at Ryanair, the Irish low-cost carrier, and served for over a year as the CEO of Malaysia Airlines.

Early this week, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced the launch of Riyadh Air, with industry veteran Tony Douglas as chief executive. According to a statement issued by the Saudi Press Agency, Riyadh Air will serve more than 100 destinations around the world by 2030.
