UAE spending on digital technology to hit $20bn by 2026: Report

The United Arab Emirates’ spending on digital technology over the next three years is expected to reach $20 billion, according to a report by the Boston Consulting Group.

“For government decision makers, the digital economy’s expansion carries major strategic implications,” the report said. According to BCG, the UAE’s contribution of its digital economy to GDP is expected to touch 19.4% from 9.7 per cent within the next 10 years.
